We launched a VPN, and I wrote the Help Center articles, both in English and in French. First, I created the user guides for Android and Windows to compile and organize all the relevant information. Then I transcribed them in a user-friendly manner, with a lot of screenshots for our clients to easily follow the instructions online.
I also added a widget button for clients to contact us with any questions they may have.
The challenge here was to create a step-by-step guide that would be easy to follow even for beginners and try to include troubleshooting tips in order to address the most frequent issues and avoid customer effort.
To make the instructions easy for everyone, I imagined myself as one of our customers and went through the sign-up process. I added extra details to the challenging parts and kept the easy steps straightforward. The aim was to ensure that everyone, regardless of their technical expertise, could easily understand. By providing additional information for complex steps and maintaining simplicity for the easier ones, my goal was to create a guide that is both user-friendly and comprehensive.
